Attempting to develop some kind of protocols for regular life again.

It is more difficult than expected.

I have domestic jobs left half finished. I have to re-adjust to having 

48 free hours a week to work about the homestead and 

do some kind of intellectual development.

It's difficult.

I have been attempting to improve myself.

First by studying lock picking--which is not really going so well,

although the work continues on it.

I press onward however by attempting to understand chess.

I have always played "jailhouse" chess but now i would like

to really understand and play a decent opening, mid, and ending game.

The chess set is travel sized, magnetic and i am planning on carrying

daily it in my backpack.

I received my Grundig 750 shortwave radio and it is 

working perfectly. 

Last night i listened to the national windmill construction

report on radio Havana Cuba!

Our Pull out of Afghanistan after the longest, inanest war in our history

has resulted in a scrapyard.

Shit we spent billions of dollars shipping there, we can't afford to ship back.

So we are destroying supplies and selling the resultant scrap to the Afghans 

for pennies on the hundreds of dollars.

We have to destroy the shit, cause they'll make roadside bombs out of it

if we don't.

toppling our government, crashing our economy, creating a religious

dictatorship, and hunting down anyone with an IQ over 100.

Time was valuable, no matter if it was forced time.

I accomplished much for the homestead while furloughed.

I also managed to carve out a few  future personal project possibilities.

Over 10 years ago I purchased a Meade ETX70AT telescope.

I've never had an opportunity to use it--work and life just overloaded the possibility.

While OCDing in our garage i found it again--missing it's eyepieces and software.

Objects loose their parts when not used, it is a little know law of Physics.

I recovered the scope, cleaned it, and ordered inexpensive replacement eyepieces...

programed the directional system and lacking a full test, it appears to work.

I am hoping to continue on with this telescope project and hopefully 

view the International Space Station, Mars, Saturn, Jupiter and our own moon of course. 

Nerdgasm results.

Since i am back to work, 
my celebratory present to myself is the above, 
Grundig 750 Shortwave radio. 
Radio and tape recorders an eternal interest for me.
I am planning on recording Vietnamese pop music and such other weirdness on the airwaves....
There is always the elusive number stations that perks the conspiracy center of my brain.

Just WTF will we be doing the end of this week?

There are two main debt ceiling theories.
Our own Taliban, these far right Republicans are claiming that 
nothing will happen, average white guy life will go on as usual if the debt ceiling is not reinforced by vote of Congress.
Bear in mind tho that these same Republican fat ass, multi-millionaire 1%er's  claim they are 
following in the footsteps of colonial American revolutionaries?

What insane tea-party bullshit.
These Congressional Ass-wipe attorneys and all the other tea party members are the exact persons a real revolutionary would hang if they were ever able to get their hands on them. 

The most widely held theory, on crashing the debt ceiling, supported by individuals with a functioning brain is pretty much economic collapse. 

Until now the 1%er's have been unaffected by the depression.
Unlike us.......

The economic destruction posed by the failure of the debt ceiling
will bring the problems, that we who make up society, have been facing, to those who caused 
the current economic collapse. This at least there might be several good things to
come out of the failure to restructure the debt ceiling.

Investment bankers jumping out of wall street windows.
The end of debt slavery on standard citizens.
The final reduction of American political leadership to a non-functional joke.
The general public may even wake up and react.
We can only hope.

We prepared.

Pessimist's are good to have around,

we bring life preservers to the family boat ride.

I (we) never expected anything promised by the system to be there.

The current furloughed position is in itself proof enough of that theory.

Add to this experience, the failure of the New Mexico unemployment system,

my application, made the day i was furloughed is estimated to take 6 weeks to result in funds.

I hate being right.

I did my best to eliminate negative thinking.

I attempted to think and write only positives.

Is it my fault that positive is impossible?

This entire situation has only increased my paranoia,

my negative beliefs in the corruption of our society

and my belief in the overwhelming stupidity, cruelty and dominance of the 1%.

I am in the survivalist mode.

I am done being positive, 

I am done believing.

There were two gaps in our survival system.

Large appliances such as a freezer require a generator. 
Based on the concept that it is better to have power, than money, today we purchased a 
Duro Star 4000 watt generator.
