It's been quite some time since I have written
on boomboxes--
Prices for decent, used boomboxes have
skyrocketed..so it is difficult to find a buy.
I therefore started working on boxes that
i have previously given on up as lost causes,
and stored away...

surprise:

By this new re-look at my old stock process..

I managed to get a forgotten
Sony cfd-980 sport boombox..
(water and dust resistant as designated by
Sony by the bright yellow casing---)

working....
This box never functioned previously so I discovered that
the Sony cfd-980 is actually a very cool, powerful little box,
with cassette tape, radio, Sony mega bass and CD player....

By cleaning out corrosion, spider webs, de-toxing controls,
and a severely focused bit of re-hab I now have the complete
unit working and on our back porch for us to enjoy.
( back porch capable since it is weather resistant..not proof but resistant)
The most amazing thing is that this medium sized unit...
