This week I started my solid body
loaner guitar re-hab project.
I am re-building a guitar I used for loaning out
to people wanting guitar lessons,
but who did not have an instrument.
It's a very nice looking instrument but it's
electronics and hardware are very low quality.
First a new pickup.
I removed the old stock pickup and replaced it with a Schecter guitars
neck humbucker I had in stock.
I chose a neck humbucker to get a much deeper tone
compared to the high treble
a regular bridge pickup produces
on a single pickup guitar.
The parts I ordered arrived and...
blocked the headstock lettering,
and hacked together a minimum sized,
rectangular pickguard.
I sort of came up with on the
spur of the moment--?
Installed a black whammy bar.
Then adjusting the height of the string action.
I listen to shortwave numbers stations,
which makes me officially, extremely weird,
in fact, on the spectrum of weird,
listening to numbers stations puts me pretty high up there
on the weirdness spectrum.
This I know, but----
