At the kitchen table, half empty coffee cup, full ashtray,
battery half gone on the laptop.

I am in the middle of 

a streak wherein I break or destroy 

every concept, experiment, or desire i touch.

 I attempt nothingness as a solution--
The guilt regarding

failed concepts relentlessly chase me..

Until, worn down

I am utterly incapable of any action other than to brood.

Platitudes, pep talks, trying to accept inspirational insights

to get back in the fight and fix the failures that have driven me to brood--

all have zero results for me..

Attempting to Platitude my way out of the brood zone worsens my condition.

Makes me do stupid...

There are those of us who were given birth to brood...

We balance the universe against the Pollyanna's of our species.

I ride out these broods until they end.

There is no other solution when this happens.
It does get a bit better every day.

We observed a strange bird at the feeders this week.

It came and went several times.....

Turns out it was an Inca Dove...

These are not normally found in Southeastern New Mexico.

Named Inca doves because they roost together 

for warmth in pyramid shapes of up to 12 doves.

They go nowhere near Peru....

It was a really beautiful bird--just as pictured it was

like a bird with reptile skin, due to the color patterns of the feathers.

I guess actually noticing this single bird, chowing down among our standard

finches, sparrows and mourning doves 

then----

figuring out exactly what is was----

officially makes JoJo and I real birdwatchers now?

I re-banded my new Chinese military Chronograph,
with a Bison leather military strap.

Works and looks great.

I know all of the logical explanations for crop circles.

But this circle is just way too strange---

This circle has binary code placed within the design--

which when written out alphabetically is a warning to humans...

Scary no matter what...

If this crop circle was created by Geeks, with extremely excessive time on their hands.
Even that--- in and of itself---makes this---fucking scary.

Unusual, excellent and cheap.
My $26.00 Akai PJ-33

Plays great, sounds great and has quickly 

become the go-to boombox for the back porch.

Surprisingly this box is really LOUD.

I have to really watch the volume control

to as to not bother the neighbors...

I have finished Seveneves.
It was excellent!

My reading has slowed, but i still hate being without

a spare book in reserve.

So I just ordered:

This was an awesome film

 with multiple twists and turns...I highly recommend it....

A strangely funny Australian movie--worth watching....

Dazed and Confused for so long, it's not true......

We been feeding the birds for a few weeks now.

The entire back yard is full of finches...

the yard is full of life flitting all about...
singing, eating-----shitting.....

We really love having the birds live with us but---

I never considered the fact that I would be attempting to keep up

with the huge amounts of food that these critters can eat--and losing....

 Feeding the birds is actually a lot of work----
Real----pain in the ass kinda work---

and it's expensive---?

We've had to schedule orders of birdseed sent through 

Amazon Prime on a routine basis simply because 
we can't keep up with going to the store for constant birdseed resupply.
It is also strange that the finches in our back yard,
having access to so much food,
have become way bigger than the rest of the neighborhood finches.

No matter that it's a terrible amount of work---

we love watching the yard come alive with these hungry little bastards,

uh--- finches...

So JoJo and I will remain broke, worn-out and happy....

So far this week we got 0.37 inches of rain....

with possibly more rain to come the next few days....

You have absolutely no idea what a little bit of rain

means to those of us who live in the desert....

My darling JoJo gave me an official remake of the

Seagull, mechanical, People's Liberation Army Air Force

Chronograph.

I have lusted over one of these for years...
Originally issued in 1963 in Communist China to pilots of the
People's Liberation Army Air Forces this watch is the first
 ever manufactured by the Chinese Government.

The Chinese much like the Russians found that

a mechanical chronograph for issue to combat pilots was an absolute necessity.

 Communist China at the time had no watch-making capabilities.

A program to produce a singular watch was initiated and

the end result was that their government purchased and

copied a Swiss ST-19 chronograph mechanical movement.

This single chronograph was produced originally in small quantities under

stringent quality control and issued to high ranking party members and 

combat pilots.

A mechanical flyback chronograph

 features a 38mm diameter casing..considered a small watch today, 

but this was a normal casing size for the early 1960's.

A robust but simple second and 30 minute sub-dial stopwatch

are this watches main features.

I am dumbfounded at finally owning one of these watches. 
It is keeping absolutely perfect time as i write this.

What a great piece of equipment to add to my daily personal kit.

Bristol Palin was paid, some say, a quarter of a million dollars since 2009,
 to preach sexual abstinence and Republican family values..
to Republican religious kids, forced by parents to sit through
this unworkable, inane concept on life.
This was after she had her first illegitimate kid in 2008...
Suddenly---

 Bristol is now knocked up for a second time...!

by persons unknown, so to say......
This pregnancy probably explains the "why" 
behind the very public crash, of the hasty engagement
of Bristol to the Medal of Honor guy she had met for----well, for a few minutes???
Can you believe attempted cover-up?
All I can say is:

Bravo for life's little ironies...

Disregarding the obvious, incredible humor in this hypocritical situation

and bypassing the lying shithead unworkable conservative theories

these people make their living off spewing....

the really funny part is that on social media,

Bristol combined her pregnancy announcement with a plea 

for the Net to not make fun of her.

She has body slammed every liberal, thinking human

 on the face of the earth via social media, every chance she got.

All I can say is Bristol deserves all the:

I've truly enjoyed this week because it has been a tough

time for the Palin Clan of overly well paid bullshit artists.

Not only another knock-up for Bristol...

but

Sarah Palin's one million dollar per year contract with

that stinker Fox News 

was cancelled...this week....

It appears as if even the extreme Fox News, brain dead, Tea Bagger, wing nuts 

do not understand Palin's inane rambling any longer and have given up on her.

Next stop for both of these Palin hypocrites will be getting caught shoplifting 

at Wal-Mart.

The mailman presented me with my 1980's (but new to me) Marantz PMS-3020 today...
This is a product of the Marantz Gold Series boombox line.

Not only is this box in practically brand new condition---
It came complete with the original box, owners manual ,
advertising brochure---
and all accessories...
For a boombox collector it does not get any better than
this time capsule...

The PMS-3020 sounds fantastic---a sound way bigger than it's size...
 the name really sucks tho---
Like they couldn't come up with something better than PMS--?????
