A friend who I gigged with often is moving

and he built me an electric, cigar box guitar as a parting gift.

I managed to conclude multiple

watch projects this week due to

 cold weather and subsequently

 being stuck indoors.

I fixed a structural problem and installed 

a new battery in my 

Timex 922 Expedition chronograph.

I also mated it to a NATO band and

mounted a turtle compass on the band as well.

I repaired an older, malfunctioning, ,

Citizen Promaster Navigator

that I got off of Ebay, very cheap,

due to it's failure to

routinely function properly..

I'd been meaning to repair it for awhile

but my headspace had to be right so...

Now was the time..

This watch now works perfectly,

 and I mated it to a new

silicone black band.

My $27.00 Homage Citizen Ecozilla, dive watch

arrived this week. It works perfectly and

keeps great, very accurate time.

I had to change out the band because 

25 dollar watches have watchbands that

are made out of God only knows what.

 Replacing the watchband

 is always a given on watches like these.

I am wearing it as I write this

 and I am very, very happy with it!

Last and Least..

A Seiko flight chronograph that was

given to me because it was broken..

I cleaned it up and I managed to get the 

sub-dials, the chronograph functions,

 working but I cannot get the main

hands to move?

I'll work on it again, but it may be one of 

those times when I have to accept that

going forward with a fix can kill everything?

Who knows?

 I'll think on it for a bit..

I put an old brown

leather strap on it just to see how it 

would look and this watch is actually

pretty classy.

I hope I can get it working and useful again.

I received my new Casio 

AE1500WH-8BV Sports watch.

This is a very innovative Casio digital.

Huge but incredibly lightweight on the wrist.

 Easy to read display with a bright backlight at night.

A simple design with a very clean style

and a 10 year battery.

Absolutely a new favorite of mine!

Of course immediately after ordering the above Casio digital,

 I then find an incredibly amazing Chinese copy of

the Citizen Promaster Ecozilla Dive Watch.

 I immediately ordered it as well, of course, 

simply because I knew I could not live without it!

The 'real' Citizen watch sells for around

$356.00 in the U.S.

totally unaffordable for me... 

My Chinese copy was all of $26.00 U.S.

People who can afford these original high dollar watches, 

get all bent out of shape 

over people like me buying "Homage" watches,

Cheap copies of their exclusive, expensive watches.

Fuck you...

A homage watch means I can enjoy something close to that 

which I would normally, NEVER even been able to see.

Something that I would enjoy as something more

than just a status symbol.

So, I adore Homage watches, even if they break

in an hour because it gives me a chance to

practice my watch repair skills.
