Well, what kind of shit-hole planet is this?

An easy week.
This week may have been--too perfect?
I managed to work to conclusion multiple projects.
The result is that now
I am having difficultly planning my next move?
This is the first time I have been vapor-locked
in finding something to do?
It's very weird...

Ohio voted down legal weed this week?
Reports advise the proposal was written so poorly it pissed off everybody.
Stoners and fundamentalists both voted against it.
--California votes next on legal weed--

 California had better pass this
otherwise
it's time to find another planet.

It's been quite a while since there has been anything
interesting on EBAY in the boombox sections.
Until this week that is.
A Haitachi TRK-6700H,
appeared at a reasonable starting bid on a short duration auction.
This mini-boombox by Haitachi was an attempt to
provide big box sound and features such as..
(6 speakers, vu meter,individual bass&treble controls,
sound separation switch)
in the smallest possible package
measuring 20x6x4 inches.
Built around 1985 this is a very well designed and collectible box.
It's sound is reported as very rich and full.
So I've thrown a bid in on it..
we'll see what happens?

The Business Plot:
In 1933, group of wealthy businessmen that allegedly included the heads of Chase Bank, GM, Goodyear, Standard Oil, the DuPont family
and Senator Prescott Bush
tried to recruit Marine Corps Major General Smedley Butler
to lead a military coup against President FDR
and install a fascist dictatorship in the United States.
And yes, we’re talking about the same Prescott Bush who fathered one US President and grandfathered another one and a third is currently running for the nomination.

Smedley Butler was both a patriot and a vocal FDR supporter. Apparently none of these criminal masterminds noticed that their prospective point man had actively stumped for FDR in 1932.  Smedley spilled the beans to a congressional committee in 1934.
Everyone he accused of being a conspirator vehemently denied it, and none of them were brought up on criminal charges. Still, the House McCormack-Dickstein Committee did at least acknowledge the existence of the conspiracy, which ended up never getting past the initial planning stages.  Though many of the people who had allegedly backed the Business Plot also maintained financial ties with Nazi Germany
up through America’s entry into World War II.
In 1934, the Business Plot was publicly revealed by retired Marine Corps Major General Smedley Butler testifying to the McCormack-Dickstein Congressional Committee. In his testimony, Butler claimed that a group of men had approached him as part of a plot to overthrow Roosevelt in a military coup.
In their final report, the Congressional committee supported Butler’s allegations of the existence of the plot, but no prosecutions or further investigations followed,
and the matter was mostly forgotten.

This week wearing a:
Suunto Vector-my 14 year old digital--still perfect!

I had been searching for a military sweater for the upcoming winter.
I do this every year...
True Military surplus sweaters can be not only difficult to locate.
but accurate sizing is always a problem--
I have an unwearable size "large" German Naval sweater that
covers my knees.
You never know what the size indicator actually means in military surplus.
This never ending  military sweater search is always difficult.
This year's attempt at the perfect surplus military sweater is an order for a
Police Service of Northern Ireland Duty Sweater.
If anyone should understand how to build an excellent
sweater to protect one against the winter elements
it should be the Northern Irish Police!
This year's sweater hope is
reportedly un-issued condition in dark green with
twin sleeve pockets and multiple reinforcement points.
If this sweater runs true to sizing it will be a steal at
$19.95 plus shipping.
I will only know the results when it arrives?
Ya play the game, ya take your chances.

On DVD:
Some people slammed this movie in their reviews..
It was the destruction of California and the Rock--
It tried to be nothing else---that's OK in my mind..
Honesty
