A tough week for the household...

Our little dog had health problems this week.
He had to spend the night at the vet's,
after an operation..

Our little dog took it way way better than we did...
We were fucked with him just not being here--you know?
Without his presence in the house we zombied about..
We didn't sleep while he was gone,
we were just heartbroken until he came home.

I received my Seiko 5 manual--

small, inexpensive watch this week...

The Seiko 5 is an excellent piece of equipment..

I did remove the stock band and replaced it with

a leather copy of a World War Two, three piece, 

tan, watchband.

Fed up with the corporate media

wanting to resist it's obvious corporate influence..
we joined The Young Turks online news system.

One of the great things 

that occurs when you reach the age of 65,

is that the 18 year old asshole

who has ridden along deep inside you as you've aged,

making you do stupid things,

through your entire adult life...

has finally gone to sleep.

I just purchased

a Seiko 5 manual-auto wind- movement watch.

It should arrive in a few days.

I chose the desert tan version,

as a variation from my usual black on black

watch fetish..

Although this particular model Seiko is smaller in case diameter 

 compared to my usual preference in wristwatches,

I paid such a very low price for this watch,

if for some reason (which eludes me at this point)

I break this watch down into parts,

the movement and band alone are worth twice what

i paid for the complete new watch.

The Seiko 5 has excellent lume qualities--

and is a tough, dependable, little watch.
I look forward to getting much use out of this little Seiko
even,
 (tho i fucking doubt it)
as parts.

I gotta admit it--our man looks good

Busy socializing this past week.
This has caused projects to suffer and thus nag at me.
Life can at times can be nothing more than whack-a-mole.

My mental and physical states hold a lottery 
each week to decide how I am going to feel
and how I will relate to the world around me.

I am attempting to find a logical basis for the
mental & physical Lotto outcomes, but as of yet,
The process remains a mystery?
I remain pleased tho that the weekly outcome

I have attempted to completed my most recent watch build..

I still need to refine the stem length adjustment..
Installing the stem, especially with a screw-down crown,
which is integral with this case,
can be extremely difficult.
Much more of an art rather than a science?
I am also having problems with the sub-dial second hand...

but 
here is the first attempt at full assembly--

The case, dial face and the Orange strap

strangely compliment each other?

There remains much refinement work

before i can claim this watch to be completed.

If i cannot solve several specific problems with this

construction I may have to dis-assemble and switch back to the 

dress watch concept?

On DVD--

I was up and down with this film...
