Winter is always watch repair season for me.

I maintained my Timex WS4 digital expedition this week.

Battery replacement, and a cleaning.
This is a HUGE watch, 54mm, but it's interface is
so easy to see and use, allowing me to geek out and time everything!
7.35 minutes from my front door to Starbucks?
Plus compass, temp, altimeter, barometer--
I have been wearing it all week..
I have multiple digital watches but the WS4 
is by far the easiest to actually see without glasses and to use.
I am very glad to have it back in service.

So last week's upcoming possibly cool was the sequel
to Blade Runner.
This week it is the upcoming Alien film
Alien Covenant.

I have no idea if this is a prequel, or sequel?
I am now lost in this series with no idea of 
if this movie is at the beginning...
or the end of the series?
Who cares?
I love these alien films just for the visuals,
any to me, any
Ridley Scott Alien film is cool.

I took the risk and invested in the Trio plus

bass and drum pedal I desperately need 

if i am to gig solo...

I have been using a smaller less viable version

of this pedal for practice..but to gig out i needed

this particular model which stores your rhythm patterns

on SD cards and can pull up song patterns

 stored on it's card memory.

My smaller version of this pedal has no capacity

for memory--it must be retrained for each song, 

each time you play.

Sort  of a musical groundhog day---

unacceptable for public performing--

My plan is to arrange and store sets of 
songs on SD cards and use this pedal for
background while gigging live?
That's the plan anyway,
the possible end result of me onstage---
utilizing this equipment,
 is still pretty much
 an unknown entity, at this time?

It looks like a train, but -- I'll need proof.

For the first time since retiring I am truly feeling old...

I am not simply in the
 "out of touch with what's new"
mental status of feeling old.
I have been helplessly rotating in the
actual physicality of feeling old for multiple weeks now.

Difficult to describe the process of how this

status developed. It was more a

silent creep since the start of winter rather than
 the result of a singular event.
 The end result is more
insidious.
Until this recent attack of age,
for all intents and purposes I felt physically 
on top of my game.

Now, as I sit here, I am unsure...
If a new element has been added to
my equation?

 My sense of hope remains that it is the winter which
has created this false reality and that 
this feeling of decrepition will pass...

I was forced to change the cool moniker
to possibly cool..
Things I thought, prior to their coming out,
 that would be cool against all odds really sucked..
So the announcement that the sequel 
 BladeRunner 2049
was actually getting made immediately hit the
possibly cool category---?

Well the Citroen 2cv kit is for all intents and purposes
completed.

Two mudguards, two outside mirrors, and
an antenna are all that's left to apply.

I attempted to create a strip of pavement in the display box

and I finally decided to go with the roof rolled back 
and secured so the interior was visible.

All in all an excellent little model of a unique
automobile I always had hoped to own which
I can now display in the nerd cave.

I have already ordered my next automotive
model project...
A 1:24 scale 1988 Porsche, whale tail, turbo, 911.

I almost bought one of these when we were living in Georgia
it was to say the least--desperately used,
with an asking price on a shady used car lot of $12,000.
It was awesomely fire engine red with blacked-out trim.
 My wife,
rightly pointed out that it had no A/C,
The tires were handmade, and the car itself
needed much expensive work...plus she
thought i would probably kill myself in it.
So I passed on this car but I still think of it,
sigh and wonder..so a copy will have to go on the shelf.
In fire engine red of course.

On DVD--

I have been religious in my guitar practice.
Working several hours every day with the intent of
attempting to solo gig.

There are days of zero accomplishment
interrupted by some positive breakthroughs.

At some point in time I will need a neutral
evaluation of what i have or have not achieved,
and if the end result is viable?
 I am trying my best?
