I've been lost both in worry...
and my OCD-ness...at the same time..?
I would not have thought this combination possible
within a single human unit..?

the American baby-boomer insanity over
buying the now, super expensive
muscle cars from their youth..??
Perhaps it's nostalgia for some..?
knobs, levers and dials just fell off them when you tried to use them.
The true sign of a good car was if the clock actually worked
the day you picked it up...?
A very, very, long distance trip back then was 250 miles,
they were hot/cold inside
and breakdowns were the accepted norm...?
Tune-ups were required all the fucking time....
model,1969 American fucking car could be worth $770,000 at the latest
Barrett Jackson auto auction...
NO FUCKING WAY!
You spent how much on that old car???
The concept of buying these muscle cars as an investment?
Well, that's over with the death end of the boomer generation.
There will always be a few, rich gear heads around..
buying these types of cars to crash...
but not there's not enough of these kind of guys,
or this kind of money out there,
to re-coup the investment of all the old boomers
who over spent on an old car that might, might
have got them laid when they were young...
Big Harley's---
are already starting to suffer the this resale hell---
When we boomers are gone you won't be able to
give a big chrome laden, electric heated seat,
Harley away--
and Harley Davidson knows this...
they are desperately trying to figure out this
new world that is coming...
where people cannot afford nor justify
25 grand for a motorcycle..

I was there, you know, I'm a true boomer..and
I love cars as much as the next guy but---
the American cars of the sixties were awful..just shit for quality control, knobs, levers and dials just fell off them when you tried to use them.

But a gig's a gig you know???
There was a great deal of press in the U.S. this week
about the death of "free checking accounts".
Which were probably never really free to begin with..?
So---
how can you start a bank account in the U.S.
if you can't even afford the fee's?
If we Americans lived in an actual civilized country,
we, regular people, could bank at the post office
as they do in Japan for example..

In fact the Japan Postal Bank Services were designed specifically
for low income persons and rural areas that lacked services..
the Japan Postal Bank is now one of the largest, richest banks in the world.
No fees, open an account with even a penny...
Postal Banks provide services such as
savings, checking, money orders,
wire transfers etc....
at a Government required minimum profit demand..
Which of course, would kill the concept in the Republican,
massive profit for the few,
dominated America.
how Japans postal service got 3 trillion

The funny thing is we used to have Postal banking
in the United States but it was shut down in 1966...
just around the time when US banks started to become powerful
and greedy once again
because our citizens had lost their suspicion of them,
that we had gained at a severe price from the
Great Depression....
A suspicion hard earned and way too soon forgotten....
We should restart Postal Banking in the US AGAIN!!!
Not only would it be a profound service to our society
but would help the Post Office's profitability.
Banking should be a service--
with a reasonable profit
not the fucking profit scamming...
shareholder slave,
money laundering industry
that it has become...
Ursula K. Le Guin passed away at 88.
An outstanding Science Fiction writer..
although she resisted that terminology.
I'll have to re-read
The Left Hand Of Darkness.
