The week started out rough---

There's been several articles on the Net this
week regarding Jeff Bezo's
Long Now clock project--
The Long Now Clock is being built into a mountain
on a Texas ranch owned by Bezo's.
There has apparently been much construction activity
at the site recently...
For reasons unknown,
the concept of this clock,

and the fact that Bezo's is actually building it
fills me with hope--I have no clue as to why??
This type of clock i first discovered in a novel
by Neal Stephenson where monks maintained
a similar clock for humanity through the ages...
I enjoy the concept of leaving something
