Can we get back to our bleak, meaningless lives please?

Worn out this past week but---happy...
Happy because I totally ignored--
the State of the Union address, and
all of his bullshit that went with it..
Worn out because I played two gigs this week....

that our tiny rovers are still working, traveling
 and photographing
Mars....
I routinely check in on their work and the photographs
they tirelessly send back to earth...
Recently the rover Curiosity climbed
the Vera Rubin ridge line on Mars and sent back
the sweeping panorama displayed in the below
link on the site
Engadget...
beautiful to take in...
At my age I still find it to be fucking amazing
that we are getting photo's and weather reports
routinely from Mars...
While we are talking about the solar system..
Amateur astronomer Scott Tilley,
On his own, located,
a long considered by NASA to be lost,
research satellite named..
 IMAGE...

Mr. Tilley operates his own amateur radio-telescope
and primarily concentrates on
searching for and tracking spy satellites!
Which i believe to be the most awesome hobby!
The technical side is for sure, beyond me...
I have zero fucking clue as to how I would operate
my own Seti radio telescope...
I admire him and his hobby greatly...
Now that I have found Mr. Tilley's blog I will be
a regular visitor at
Skyriddles
I love it when amateur astronomers show up
the professionals.....!

miss smoking...
A shit load of candidate yard signs
around the neighborhood already...
It may be correct that this coming election
people will be more active involved?
Why do all the good, new releases show up on
streaming all at the same fucking time??
Why can't the good new stuff be spread out just a bit?
That's the

I was musically busy this week for sure..
Two gigs in two days this week.
A friend, another guitar player, advised that he had gotten a
call for a last minute replacement at a pair
of corporate gigs..
Apparently the originally booked band backed out at the last minute
and would I do the gigs with him since I had been
prepping for quite a while and he hadn't,
I jumped on the chance..
So we played dual gigs out of my songbook,
that i had been constructing and surprisingly---
It went really, pretty well...
As soon as I started playing all the nerves,
worries, and thoughts I had
of
"do I still have it"
disappeared...
Although, of course there were some rough spots,
we did well enough and got enough positive
feedback from people there...
to the point of where we are talking about
continuing on as a duo..
which will be great---if we can work it out.
Hard to tell about that tho....
Unfortunately we couldn't get any photo's
since they were corporate gigs you know?
All in all it was a great experience....

All the good stuff hits at once---
On Amazon streaming...
BRITANNIA
Romans vs. Druids
Just what could be more totally awesome..?
ALTERED CARBON
On Netflix
which is completely fucking amazing...
Visually rich, true to the book..
(I've read all three of the excellent Tashi Kovacs books)
excellent performances..
I cannot praise this series enough..and once again
I cannot believe some geek sites are panning it!
Be sure to watch Altered Carbon if you are at all
into SiFi or Cyberpunk....
