A wide variety of things happened. Mostly good, some bad however.
It is unusual for such a range of experiences to strike us within a single week.
Our weeks generally run within specific, predictable parameters.
This variety was far more tiring than a full week of work.
The experiences of this past week came literally out of nowhere...
There was no logic pathway in the curve balls thrown at us, no way to to plan or prepare.
The week reminded me of the training segment in the movie Dodgeball.
"If you can dodge the wrench you can dodge the ball."
I will be happy to see an end to the this weekan end of the unexpected...
Hopefully a return to normalcy for us
and those around us?
I remain in the process of attempting to adapt to my IPAD?
I can see advantages to this piece of equipment,
especially via having a fairly decent, easily transportable,
access to my email server and the internet.
I broke down, reluctantly accepted the IPAD,
reorganized my EDC Musette bag to carry it.
I can see myself carrying it to my bi-weekly coffee clutch
to solve the old guy--forgot or lost the word or
can't remember a fact/reference problem while talking that
we all in the group often have.
I haven't yet truly mastered anything on the IPAD.
I truly cannot see it as a replacement for a good laptop for my specific needs.
The touch concept still eludes me due to it's inaccuracy.
I dislike inaccuracy in anything so the operating system eludes me often.
At this point in time my IPAD and I remain in the state of feeling each other out.
Sarah Palin wants to be Donald Trump's
Secretary of Energy.
Seriously, no shit?
Trump and Palin combined in running the government would require
the creation of a new word--something describing
a Trinity site of weirdness.

Memory lane:
The true story of Lt. Belenko who defected
to the west by flying a highly classified (at the time)
Mig-25 through Soviet air defenses to Japan.

I managed to locate a personal grail homage watch this week
It is in route as I write this.
Jeremy Renner's character Aron Cross,
wears and operates the IWC Top Gun chronograph watch throughout the film.
This particular IWC watch model retails for $22,500.
A beautiful watch, classically styled, big, black anodized black casing
with white sub-dial chronograph capability.
with white sub-dial chronograph capability.
The IWC Top Gun actually uses Kevlar as watchband material!
This is one of my favorite movie watches.
Financially out of the question.
Financially out of the question.
This week I located and then immediately purchased
an almost perfect, homage copy of the IWC
an almost perfect, homage copy of the IWC
top gun manufactured by a Chinese company---Panmis.
Panmis manufactures a near perfect HOMAGE
of the IWC top gun watch.
($115 dollar homage watch below)
A Japanese Quartz movement powers the watch
the Panmis homage is approximately 4mm smaller in diameter,
unnoticeable to the general public and of course lacks the Kevlar watchband---
This is as close as I can ever come to this particular watch.
($22,500 watch below)
I am particularly found of Homage watches.
They allow me to own watch designs which otherwise
I could never afford such as my 47mm Panerai homage
as seen below.
Below is a site which specializes in listing the actual
watches worn by characters in film and television.
Very, very interesting if you are a watch geek
and ever wondered what brand that cool watch was that
you saw on a character in a movie?

I started construction of the TU-26.
I am presently working on the cockpit structure.
The thing about working on this area is that
much work is put into an area that when the aircraft
is completely built and sealed up---almost nothing of your hard work is visible.
Bummer.
So here are photographs of this cockpit under construction.
Just so somebody can see what is done....
Pilots, navigators and weapons officers are painted
to represent orange Soviet high altitude survival suits.
The entire area pictured is approximately as long as your index finger.
One percent of this work will be visible.
I will do a bit of super detailing before
I am finished with this area because...well....just because...
The Soviets paint their more aircraft modern cockpits a specific shade of blue,
claiming it is a calming color.
I did locate and order a hard to find modeling paint that matches this
color after many failed attempts to duplicate myself it by mixing.
This was simply awe-inspiring!
