I sure hope that's pudding...

I calculated that so far

 in retirement we have driven only 1600 miles per year?
Seriously?

It's not that we are using alternative transportation,
we just don't go out much?
We love putzing about our house and garden.
(putzing--to engage in inconsequential or unproductive activity.)

We don't really want to go anywhere..
with the exception of local resupply expeditions.

You would be surprised the sheer number of
people who find our zero travel desires astounding?
It would be easier to explain that we converted to Amish
when we retired compared to trying to explain why
we do not have the slightest desire to go on a fucking cruise?

We both traveled and moved a shit load
when we were younger.
We just love to stay put while enjoying
 each other, at home, in retirement.

People do not apparently understand 
this concept.
 Many people, remarkably,  take seemingly serious affront
 at our enjoyment of hanging out.

have never been interested in food?

I mean, i eat, and stuff tastes good but--
all this insanity over food--
People taking pictures, making TV shows
where chefs fight?
I just do not understand it.
Food is just there to keep me going.
As a kid, I couldn't wait for the future
where, i was told, food would be in pills.
We were Irish,check the library for cookbooks
entitled:
Fine Irish Cuisine.
Yeah--Zero--
This is why I so desperately wanted pill food!

I am one of the few who loved MRE's.
Meals Ready to Eat.

Everythings there, no choices to have to make.
Everything in a separate container to both cook
and eat out of.
Food doesn't touch each other--
Awesome..!
Zero clean up.
If the unfortunate end result of eating MRE's for too long,
was not the dreaded "Ranger Turd",
MRE's would be my only food intake choice.

The Staff of a Russian weather station

have been isolated inside their hut for 2 weeks,
due to a herd of 10 Polar Bears outside
waiting to eat them...

Rescued after 14 days surrounded by polar bears
Luckily these guys are Russian.
Raised from birth to expect 
they'll have to take care of themselves.
